Chelsea had made an offer for the 30-year-old Maignan, but AC Milan rejected it. Initially, it was reported that Maignan was unhappy with this decision, however, he has since changed his mind and will remain at the San Siro.
When speaking to the media on Monday, Allegri expressed his satisfaction with Maignan's decision to stay, stating that Maignan is the captain and one of the best goalkeepers in Europe.
It is worth noting that Maignan's contract with AC Milan will expire in a year. If he becomes available, Chelsea might reevaluate their interest in him during the January transfer window.
