United's manager, Ruben Amorim, has provided some reassurance to fans who were eager to see Mbeumo in action. Amorim hopes to have Mbeumo feature in one of the team's pre-season games, which will take place in the United States this summer.
Amorim recently spoke to United's media team, saying: "Bryan is starting slowly. He is not going to play in the next one. We hope to have Bryan in the last game (in the United States). He's training now, so we'll see."
Mbeumo had a successful season with Brentford last year, scoring 20 goals and providing eight assists in 42 games across all competitions.
