According to reports, van Bronckhorst is in advanced talks to sign a contract with Liverpool. The Dutchman has been out of football since being let go by Besiktas as head coach in November.

Before his departure from Besiktas, van Bronckhorst was in charge of Rangers. During his time with Rangers, he led the team to the 2022 Europa League final, where they were defeated by Eintracht Frankfurt.
