According to reports, the two met to explore the possibility of Son joining Fenerbahce, a club he has been open to playing for in recent times.

Fenerbahce is reportedly willing to make a significant investment to bring Son to the club, offering him a lucrative contract worth €12 million per year.

Jose Mourinho has a close relationship with Son, having worked together at Tottenham between 2019 and 2021, and is pushing for the move to happen.

Tottenham, however, is hesitant to lose their captain, but may consider a transfer offer if it is substantial, given that Son has one year left on his current contract.
