Christian Eriksen was a regular member of the team during his first season at Old Trafford and was an important part of the squad that won the League Cup. He also won the FA Cup with the team the following year. Over the last three seasons, Eriksen made 107 appearances for Manchester United and brought a touch of class to the midfield. Although he faced criticism for not having the pace to keep up with the Premier League, he still managed to score eight goals for the club.
Two of his goals were scored in Europa League group stage matches against FC Twente and Fenerbahce. The crowd gave a standing ovation to all three departing players after the match.
Christian Eriksen, who is 33 years old, has said that he will not return to Denmark to play in the Danish Superliga. Several international clubs have been linked with him, including Ajax, where he played before joining Tottenham in 2013.
