Manager Arne Slot wants to rebalance his squad, which now has three senior fullbacks. Tsimikas was not included in the matchday squad for the Community Shield or the Premier League opener against Bournemouth, indicating that Slot does not plan to use him in the future.
Tsimikas may return to his former club Olympiacos or join another top European team. He has expressed a desire to play more frequently and is open to a move, even if it means playing fewer games.
"It's a temptation to play more," Tsimikas said. "I'm happy here, but I want to play more games. The 27-29 games I play each year are not enough for me."
Tsimikas has been with Liverpool since 2020 and was signed for £11.7 million. If he leaves, Liverpool may sell him for around double that amount, which would be a significant piece of business for the club.
